This is the 17th consecutive year that WMU has been included on the list, which highlights sales programs across the U.S. that consistently provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed as sales professionals.

鈥淲MU鈥檚 spot on the Sales Education Foundation list confirms what we have known for over 20 years鈥攚hat we teach, how we teach it and the community we teach it in are top tier,鈥 says Dr. James Eckert, associate professor of marketing and Robert S. Kaiser professor of sales, at the Haworth College of Business.

With resources like the Robert S. Kaiser Sales, Negotiation and Leadership Lab, access to nationwide sales competitions and talented faculty who are committed to student success, it鈥檚 no surprise that the WMU program ranks highly among its peers. And the WMU 2022-23 Career Outcomes Report backs this up. According to the report:

Program highlights

Robert S. Kaiser Sales, Negotiation and Leadership Lab: Students at WMU benefit from this state-of-the-art lab where they can practice role-play scenarios, watch recordings of their performances and interact with professionals in the field. The technology allows sales faculty to share best practice examples and pinpoint specific areas for improvement.

Sales competitions: The WMU sales and business marketing program is a formidable competitor in sales competitions. A recent team of students won top honors at Arizona State University鈥檚 Collegiate Sales Competition, with two students placing in the top three in the marketing presentation category. Another student placed first in a role-play competition at the State Farm Marketing and Sales Competition, a category in which WMU students have dominated for many years.
